Generation Gap: Difference Between Old Generation And New Generation

In India, people born before independence and people born after independence have a completely different way of thinking. The style of thinking of people of the 21st century is entirely different and modern. The mentality of people born in different ages differs from each other. The world is changing rapidly, and thus, it is natural for people born at various times to differentiate between living style.

Talking about India, people born before independence are utterly different from those born today. There is a big difference in the thinking of two generations. There is a considerable difference between the cultural, economic, moral values, behavioral knowledge, and social environment of old and new generation people. We call this difference a generation gap.

According to the changing times, the way of living of people, the way of thinking, the whole behavior undergoes a tremendous change. The way people live their lives varies from generation to generation. Change is an essential aspect of life. This difference can also be measured between parents and children as children grow up. Children and parents do things according to their generation. Parents teach the children what they have learned from their age, and ask the children to follow it. Differences start somewhere from here. Generation Gap is a term coined to denote the difference between two ages. The impact of the generation gap is clearly visible in the relationship between parents and children, and due to a change in thinking, there can be a confrontation between parents and children at any point in life.

Society is continually changing at a rapid pace. The lifestyle, ideology, opinions, beliefs of the people varies with the cycle of time. This change gives rise to new ideas, and society is formed with new and positive thinking by consuming unfair stereotypes. Most of the time, there is always some conflict between these two generations.

Generations of thinking are according to each person's age. The age in which the person has lived the lifestyle and values, according to the same, so there are differences when interacting with the people of the second generation. A person can also feel better after noticing the generation gap in his family.

Grandparents' thinking and living are entirely different from those of their parents. There is no doubt that both can have different views on the same subject. These changes are called the generation gap. Today's youth like to live independently, they do not like to interfere. They find living a more comfortable life, but thier guardian's thinkings are very different here. Generation gaps cannot be eliminated completely. If both the generations together decide calmly and wisely, then the conflict between parents and children can be reduced.

With the change of life, if people bring a little difference in their lives, then life gets better. In the 1960s, new facts such as generation gaps were revealed in relationships. According to the research, the younger generations were utterly different from their mother and father's views. The generation gap is an exciting concept. We can think that if there was no change in the generations, our progress and ability to understand thinking would be limited. Due to the generation gap in families, there are small conflicts. If there was no generation gap, there would be no change in the world. Progress and ways of thinking in every field were tied to the ideology of generations. Therefore a generation gap is necessary. The new generation gives rise to new ideology and society.

Fashion is changing the way we dress in the world. New discoveries and inventions are taking place, as new generations of thinking, methods, and processes are changing, there is a passion for doing something new. Due to this, there is a lot of progress in technology and techniques in the world. All this is the result of change over generations.

There has been a lot of change due to the generation gap. In the past, people often lived in joint families, nowadays people prefer to live only in small families because they think they will live in a freeway and no one will interfere in their life. Nowadays people feel happier to stay away from their parents to live in their personal life.

In earlier times, people did not have a phone. Hardly, people used to go to the outside telephone booth and call their relatives. People of today's generation are unable to live with the smartphone's bagger, they find a solution to every difficulty by visiting their phone and internet.

Today's generation does not have much time for their own people; in earlier times, these devices were not there, so people used to spend most of the time with their family members. Today's fashion and style of dress has changed. Nowadays, people are lost in the world of decoration; in earlier times, there was simplicity, and people used to wear traditional clothing and jewelry. More first people used to talk about happiness with their friends and family. But today's generation is more fond of a party, or a picnic.

Individuals can handle this difference of generations with understanding and acceptance. People of one age are very different from people of another age, which is natural. However, problems arise when people of different ages try to impose their ideas and beliefs on another, and this can cause tension in relationships. Therefore, people of the old age and the new generation should respect each other's thinking and decisions and accept each other's thinking, then there will be no differences.
