China's new move: Dragon started first bullet train near Indian border amid tension on LAC

China has started the first bullet train service in Tibet near the Indian border. China on Friday started operating the first fully electric bullet train in the remote Himalayan region of Tibet that will connect the provincial capital Lhasa and Niyangchi. Nyingchi is a border town of Tibet located close to Arunachal Pradesh.

The 435.5-km Lhasa-Nyangchi section of the Sichuan-Tibet Railway was inaugurated on July 1 ahead of the centenary celebrations of the ruling Communist Party of China (CPC). State-run Xinhua news agency reported that the first electric-powered railway in the Tibet Autonomous Region started on Friday morning from Lhasa to Niyangchi, where 'Fuxing' bullet trains began official operations in the plateau region.

Chinese President had given instructions to do the project work at a fast pace

The Sichuan–Tibet Railway will be the second railway in Tibet after the Qinghai–Tibet Railway. It will pass through the southeast region of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, one of the most geologically active regions in the world. In November, Chinese President Xi Jinping instructed officials to expedite work on a new railway project connecting Sichuan province with Niyangchi in Tibet, saying the new rail line would play an important role in securing border stability.

Chengdu to Lhasa journey reduced from 48 hours to 13 hours

The Sichuan-Tibet Railway will start from Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan province, and will pass through the Yan and enter Tibet via Kamado, reducing the journey from Chengdu to Lhasa from 48 hours to 13 hours. Nyingchi is a provincial-level town of Medog, which is adjacent to the Arunachal Pradesh border.

China claims Arunachal Pradesh as part of South Tibet

China claims Arunachal Pradesh as part of South Tibet, which India vehemently rejects. The India-China border dispute is over the 3,488-km-long Line of Actual Control (LAC). Qian Feng, director of the research department of the National Strategy Institute at Xinghua University, had earlier told the state daily 'Global Times' that, 'if there is a crisis scenario on the China-India border, the railways will greatly facilitate the delivery of strategic materials to China.

Farmers Sitting on Delhi Border for 125 days Will Now Travel to Parliament

The agitation of farmers against three laws related to farming completed 125 days on Wednesday. On this occasion, a press conference was organized by the United Kisan Morcha, in which they told about the plan ahead. According to the plan, the farmers are also preparing to travel to Parliament. However, the date for when the farmers will demonstrate in the Parliament has not yet come, but the farmers say that the first fortnight of May will be traveled towards the Parliament. It is clear that farmers are now adopting a strategy to pressurize the government.

According to the United Kisan Morcha, every section of the society including women, unemployed youth will be included with them during the parliamentary journey. This program will be completely peaceful. The day the protest will be held on the Parliament, the farmers will reach the borders of Delhi from their villages. After this, there will be a march on foot to many borders of Delhi. All this will happen before the first fortnight of May i.e. 15 May. However, its date is not stated.

What else is the farmers' plan?

April 5: Food Corporation of India (FCI) Save Day will be celebrated. On this day there will be a siege of FCI offices across the country.

10 April: Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) will be blocked for 24 hours.

April 13: The festival of Baisakhi will be celebrated on the borders of Delhi.

April 14: Constitution Save Day will be celebrated on Dr. Ambedkar's birth anniversary.

May 1: We will celebrate Labor Day on the border of Delhi. On this day, all programs will be dedicated to labor-farmer unity.

Farmer movement has been going on for the last 4 months

In September last year, the central government implemented three laws related to farming. Against these three laws, the farmers have been standing on the borders of Delhi since 26 November last year. Talks have also been held between the farmer and the government 11 times, but no consensus was reached. Farmers want the government to repeal all the three laws and bring the law of guarantee on the MSP. But the government says that it cannot withdraw the laws. If the farmers want, then according to them it can be amended.
