Seven astronauts, including Indian-origin Kalpana Chawla, was killed in this incident in 2003. There was a loss of about 7 lakh 98 thousand crore rupees (13 billion dollars) in this accident.
Chatsworth Train Accident:
A major accident occurred between two trains in 2008 at Chatsworth near Los Angeles. In this accident, 25 people lost their lives due to the arrival of two trains on the same track. There was a loss of about three thousand crore rupees ($ 500 million) in this accident.
B-2 Stealth Heavy Bomber Crash:
The United States heavy B-2 bomber crashed in 2008 when it was flying off the runway. Luckily no pilot died in this accident. But this accident gave a big shock to America. There was a loss of about 8600 crores (about 1.4 billion dollars) in this accident.
In March 1989, more than 10 million gallons of crude oil was swept into the ocean when a ship called Exxon Valdez crashed into the Prince William Sound in the Sea of Alaska. Due to the accident, the scattered oil spread about 2100 km. According to an estimate, the cleaning campaign cost about 15 thousand crore rupees ($ 2.5 billion) after the accident.

In this incident in 1988, about 167 people were killed. The event on the coast of Aberdeen, near Scotland, shocked the whole world. Earlier oil was extracted at this place, but this accident happened during the attempts to remove the gas on the day of the accident.
