Diseases During The Rainy Season, And Know How To Avoid Them

With the onset of the rainy season, many people prefer to eat warm dumplings and tea while enjoying the beautiful weather outside the comfort of their homes. Similarly, some like to get wet during the rainy season. Soaking in water can be a fun experience, but it can also make you sick. If you are careful about this, getting rid of such diseases is not very difficult.

The rainy season brings greenery as well as pleasant and cold weather. However, it also brings with it a variety of health problems. If you are sick with this type of disease, then you should also be aware of some effective remedies.

During the rainy season, many people get waterborne and airborne diseases. Among them, diarrhea is the most common among waterborne diseases. Conditions such as hepatitis, cholera, and typhoid also pose serious health challenges during the rainy season. The rainy season also helps in bacterial, insect, and fungal growth.

Malaria: 

Malaria is the most common disease during the rainy season. We have a problem with freezing water during the rainy season. As it is the breeding season of mosquitoes, mosquitoes bloom in frozen water, and the number of mosquitoes increases. The disease is spread by the bite of the female Anopheles mosquito.

 
Colds and Flu: 

A virus that starts with a sore throat lasts for a day or two. Then on the fourth and fifth day, runny nose and cough. Children also get a fever when they have a cold. Flu is more severe than a cough. Problems such as sore throat, fever, headache, body ache, and cough should be considered as symptoms. These symptoms last for two to five days but can last up to a week. If you have difficulty breathing, see a doctor immediately.


Cholera: 

Cholera is a bacterial disease called cholera. The infection spreads to humans through food contaminated with bacteria and will have problems such as vomiting and dehydration. Other symptoms include skin rashes, low blood pressure, dry mouth, and increased heart rate.


Leptospirosis: 

The disease is caused by the Leptospira virus. People can get the disease by spreading the urine of animals with a skin wound in water. Leptospirosis causes body aches, headaches, fever, red eyes, abdominal pain, jaundice, itchy skin, and diarrhea.


Typhoid: 

Typhoid is a fever caused by a bacterium called Salmonella typhi. Bacteria are transmitted to humans through infected food, water, or other beverages. It spreads from one person to another through the feces of an infected person. This bacteria goes into the bloodstream through your intestines. It affects organs like gall bladder, liver.


In the following ways, you can avoid diseases caused by the rainy season:


- Always use umbrella, raincoat, and shoes when going out in a rainy season. Protectors are suitable for hats and waterproof boots.

- Try to eat nutritious food in the rainy season and stop eating outside.

- While cooking at home, prepare a very healthy diet, and pay attention to hygiene.

- Use clean water for cooking and drinking. Always boil water before drinking.

- Do not put water in an open container. Because it can be a mosquito repellent. If the water has been kept in an open container for a long time, do not use it.

- Consider whether the sewer pipes are full or not.

- Vaccines are available for some diseases. You must talk to your doctor about this and find out which vaccine to use.

- If you have to eat outside the house, then go to a place where you can get healthy and fresh food.

Whenever possible, take a bottle of boiled water with you when going out.
