Leptospirosis:
The disease is caused by the Leptospira virus. People can get the disease by spreading the urine of animals with a skin wound in water. Leptospirosis causes body aches, headaches, fever, red eyes, abdominal pain, jaundice, itchy skin, and diarrhea.
Typhoid:
Typhoid is a fever caused by a bacterium called Salmonella typhi. Bacteria are transmitted to humans through infected food, water, or other beverages. It spreads from one person to another through the feces of an infected person. This bacteria goes into the bloodstream through your intestines. It affects organs like gall bladder, liver.
In the following ways, you can avoid diseases caused by the rainy season:
- Always use umbrella, raincoat, and shoes when going out in a rainy season. Protectors are suitable for hats and waterproof boots.
- Try to eat nutritious food in the rainy season and stop eating outside.
- While cooking at home, prepare a very healthy diet, and pay attention to hygiene.
- Use clean water for cooking and drinking. Always boil water before drinking.
- Do not put water in an open container. Because it can be a mosquito repellent. If the water has been kept in an open container for a long time, do not use it.
- Consider whether the sewer pipes are full or not.
- Vaccines are available for some diseases. You must talk to your doctor about this and find out which vaccine to use.
- If you have to eat outside the house, then go to a place where you can get healthy and fresh food.
